one thing that designers do often is debate different ways to bill clients… in large part because it allows us to both pontificate and, at the same time. goof off without seeming like you’re goofing off (after all, we’re discussing serious business here). i’ve always been in the “anti-hourly billing” camp (because we make the best s’mores) and the example i’ve often held up as the reason why is that the guy who did my laser vision correction ten years ago didn’t charge based on how long it took him but rather what i was getting as a result.
